"WAVE" No.1
November 2006
Editorial
Dear friends,
about four months ago "World Youth Wave - Serbia" organized its first big project which had been prepared for quite a long time - International Student Week in Belgrade, ISWiB 2006. After this conference and positive reactions from all sides (participants, organizers, media), we noticed that student and youth festivals were not enough for young people to express themselves on an international level and that we needed something to make people come together over a longer period of time. If you are reading this now this means the process was successful - "WAVE" is alive and Issue No.1 is right on your screen!
International Youth Web Magazine "WAVE" proves the fact there are no borders among young people. Young people can cooperate and work together without prejudices, regardless of where they come from, if they are willing to do this. And we are, as you can see.
This project really is an idea of "World Youth Wave - Serbia" but we certainly couldn't have made it happen without an international team of our friends and colleagues from all over Europe (hopefully, from the whole world in the future), a bunch of creative people with the goal to make something nice and useful. It wasn't easy to put together a team of people from different countries, but there is the advantage of new technologies. Of course, we didn't close our door and we are planning to recruit more people, so the Editorial Staff will always welcome new members. Just send us an e-mail with the complimenting our magazine and you will be accepted immediately.
It's always hard to start something new but we hope you will forgive our first mistakes: on the other hand, we'll give our best to improve this magazine every month. Also we are asking you to help us with your comments and suggestions.
Congratulations to all the people who reached the end of this Editorial, as I know that this is usually the part that everyone just jumps across (including me). That's why I won't say anything about the contents of issue no.1, I will leave it up to you to explore.
Enjoy your reading!
