"WAVE" No.5
March 2007

Editorial

Dear friends,

have you ever tried some sports betting? I guess most of you are. When you are already watching your favorite football club every week, you can try, just for fun, to predict the result. That kind of gambling, guessing sport's results for fun (with chance to win some money) is well known for decades and centuries, in different shapes. But today, you can put your money and try to guess the impossible situations. What about predicting something like: this time next year, in the 47th minute of the final match of world rugby championship, someone from 36th line on the stadium throws a coin on the ground, by his left hand, and the referee stops the match. You don't believe me it's possible to make a bet like this? Well, you are wrong. Bookmakers will offer you any kind of bet, you have only to show the money. People like gambling and the chance to win lots of money for nothing is very attractive. However, be careful - have fun but don't go too far...

While you are waiting for the last game, stay with us and if you can't earn maybe you can learn something, and certainly there is nothing to lose. As you could see, we put the first banner on our web page - it's Serbian Institute for Public Diplomacy in Brussels, our friends help us with advices and contacts and we decided to be nice and do such a favour in return. If you know someone else wants to cooperate with "WAVE", let us know. Or let him knows about us.

In this issue we remind you of the fourth anniversary as Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Ðinðiæ was assasinated, in March 2003. Talking about student festivals, our reporter was in Trondheim and you can read a photo story and his impressions in Society section. Also you can find out about celebrating the Day of Love, and if you want to see "The Mediterranean as it once was" find the article about branding Croatia. Film festivals are very hot topic in this issue: Belgrade, Kiev... Find the answers - are the Oscars the Reflection of the Modern World Crisis? and - is Tanning really natural? And finally have some fun riding snowboard or waves, doesn't matter...

Enjoy your reading!
