All different, all listening to the same radio station
Eur@dioNantes - the Euro-local Radio!
Eur@dioNantes is a local European radio station, conceived as a model
to be shaped according to the local conditions by keeping the global
features, having that trendsetter potential to start a new era of Eur@dio
throughout Europe
By ALEXANDRA POPA
from Bucharest, ROMANIA

Eur@dioNantes is a new kind of radio, linking different European corners
and exposing the many faces of the European conscience. It is a daring
project, setting out to create a "local international" media
that deals with local news with an European impact. Its goals are also
to turn on the spotlight on the European information, to bring out other
such binding initiatives in Europe, and to sustain and develop the European
values.
The grand opening is happening on the night between the 12th and the
13th of May, when Eur@dioNantes will start to air on 101.3 FM, but will
also be broadcasted live on the Internet. For more information, check
out the website: www.euradionantes.eu!
The studios are being installed for now in the romantic location of
an old naval workshop in Nantes, on an island surrounded by the Loire
river, situated in the center of the city: "Lîle de Nantes".
Eur@dioNantes is also a school where journalists from different European
countries can develop their talent and share their visions of the old
continent. That means that skilled volunteers from all over Europe are
welcomed to bring their contribution!
The innovative project was initiated by Laurence Aubron, brought to
life by an association funded in 2006 and sustained by Jérome Clément,
Président d'Arte France. For now, the staff is made of seven journalist
students: Anja from Sweden, Caroline from Germany, Raluca from Romania,
Dora from Hungary, Andréa from Spain, Estelle from France and Dimitri
from Greece. Of course, they are helped by a professional media team
and by many correspondents across the continent. Many European universities
have already joined the network of active partners of Eur@dioNantes.
