When we think of the European Union, we think of serious delegates in
suits spending hours contemplating decisions and debates. But when we
think of Europe itself, more exciting things like travelling, working
and studying abroad spring to mind. It's this combination of both the
European Union and the mobilising, integrating Europe that young people
want.
There are currently hundreds of ways to get involved in Europe and ways
and means to inform ourselves; from European newspapers to TV stations,
magazines to Web TVs. And it's in the latter category that we consider
the latest European media that was created especially for young people
by young people; Euro pocket TV.
Broadcasting a daily news show in English, French and Spanish, the new
young European TV briefly informs on the EU and its institutions in
a dynamic and upbeat manner. Directed at young people, it aims to interact
with young people all over the bloc to ensure that our voice is heard
within the walls of the European institutions.
Europocket TV is interactive; it takes to the streets and answers young
people's questions on the European Union. In the weekly show, EKO, you
can hear the EU deputies' answers to your questions. Your video inputs
are also invited for broadcasting on Europocket TV.
Although Europocket TV will not inform you on every single thing that's
happening in Europe, it will briefly let you know what's going on and
guide you in the right direction to find out more. To see if for yourself,
click on www.europocket.tv or
download it onto your I pod and to get involved, drop us a message through
our site.
