ISWiB 2007 Media Workshop


Besides all the fun, traveling and entertainment stuff, workshops are one of the main purposes of international events like for an example ISWiB is, right?! So, these workshops aim to be the educational part, the part of upgrading our professional knowledge, sharing opinions and gathering experiences. The ISWiB '07 held workshops having nine different areas: Art and Culture; Education; Ecology; Economics; Media; Psychology; Society; Photo Art and Video Art. The following poem is the best way to describe the workshops:

To learn more about cultural heritage
don't be afraid to try,
just find and ask someone from
the art and culture WS guy.

Learning the Bologna Process, opportunities
was the education WS task,
so if u want to know more
don't hesitate to ask.

Ecology, economics, know the environment
and the globalization the best,
but don't you mix them up with the psychology crowd
or with any other from the rest!

Nationalism and identity
It's what those society group chat
After so many topics they must know
All the national past, I can bet!

Participants yesterday I saw
All the city and monuments, views fulfilled
With nature, pureness and glow!

God! Amazing videos!
Wow sticking work the video art participants have done,
And I must add they recorded everything
Having lots of enjoyment and plenty of fun!

Young and enthusiastic, want to explore the world and enrich your cultural experience? Be sure, international youth festivals are the best way to do it! Of course nowadays one can watch TV or check the Internet in order to learn what's going on in the world. But it's only an impression transmitted to the audience by other people, even though they are professional journalists. If you want to have your own idea of the world and people coming from different parts of it - join nternational youth festivals.

And culture - when and where else on Earth can you watch so many awesome national dances performed in traditional costumes, try a huge variety of national cuisine and drink Russian vodka, Turkish Rakia and Spanish Sangria in the same evening? Everyday you will be walking to your workshop along the city, watching historical sights and told by your group leaders about the history of the place. Much more interesting than simply to read a tourist guide, isn'it?
