Serbian Diplomatic Attack

Human Rights against Independence
Participants in this round of negotiations claim not too much is done and the only real result is "The New York Declaration" where all sides promised to avoid threats and violence during this process. Also the next meeting is arranged for October 14 in Brussels. But many experts and ordinary people ask themselves - is there a real point of these meetings if U.S. officials already promised to accept Kosovo independence and Kosovo Albanians repeated just few days ago they will proclaim independence just after negotiations are finished (after December 10th)?... >>

Serbia and the Hague Tribunal
First Serb proclaimed innocent
This arbitration caused many reactions in Croatia. Although claiming to cooperate with the Hague Tribunal, believing its independence and right, Croatian politicians showed their real face just after first releasing of one Serbian citizen. Stjepan Mesic, the president of Croatia said he is worried and Croatia is disappointed with this decision but also hoping to get "real true" in the second level trial. Prime minister Ivo Sanader said Croatia knows what is the true. Do we need Hague then at all?

Romanian Foreign Policy
"New actualities, new responsibilities, new perspectives"
The Romanian president, Traian Basescu, clarified the headlines of the Romanian foreign policy in the next year. The main theme of the speech regarded the framework of Romania in the EU. Traian Basescu pointed that Romania has the same rights as the other member countries and that means the right to a coherent foreign policy according to the interest of the country and in the same time with the recommendations of the EU institutions... >>

Youth Event in Portugal
Volunteers - priceless, not worthless
The outcome of this event wasn't called a declaration as usual, but just "conclusions", which were supposed to represent the results of each group. For Jan Figel, one of the next steps lies within a structured dialogue, which can lead to common understanding of problems and hopefully also to their solutions. To achieve this he also prepared an enjoyable ending of his speech by quoting Jean Monnet: "I'm neither optimist, nor pessimist. I'm determined"... >>

Diversity Conference in Amsterdam
Turning Diversity into Prosperity
During our stay we had the chance to observe the diversity here. And to be honest: is there a city more diverse than Amsterdam? As far as I am concerned there is not. Ethnic minorities now make up 47% of the population of Amsterdam (which means that very soon the word "minority" may have applied to its Dutch inhabitants, too) - 176 nationalities in all... >>

For example, it is believed that onions, which produce streaming, itchy eyes, can be used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever. However, many of the ingredients of homeopathic cures are poisonous if taken in large enough quantities. That is why homeopathic treatment involves giving very small doses of substances called remedies... >>

One story, one career: Vlade Divac
The King's goodbye - You can do it too!
We spent the nights with NBA matches, crying and cheering each point achieved in the golden era of our national basketball team, former Yugoslavia, today Serbia. Those things are unknown to today's kids, because to be together with the biggest world basketball stars, to pave the way for the Europeans and non-Americans to the NBA, and even to be one of the idols of world audience among the players whose greatness makes you get goose-pimples. Reality Show 'Big Brother'
Why give up your precious privacy?
The money is a lucky first guess. Probably the 250.000 guilders (approximately 120.000 euros) for the winner have a lot to do with the choice the participants of 'Big Brother' have made. Exhibitionism could be a motive as well. Yet the occupants of the 'Big Brother' house were sometimes reluctant to show their most private activities. They may have wanted to become celebrities, but if given the choice, they just might choose another way to join the rich and famous... >>
