Speed of Change

The focus of this year's Sinergija were business technologies. Giving participant a new perspective how to use them and improve their everyday work, making it more efficient, the IT professionals presented case-studies of the successful application of Microsoft tools and examples of good practice. The conference was a good opportunity to meet Microsoft experts and partners who can help create, maintain and manage business solutions, using both current Microsoft products, as well as those that are still in the pipeline

In the past seven years, Sinergija, Microsoft IT conference, became the biggest and most important IT conference in Southeastern Europe. Held from October 16th till October 19th, this year's conference brought at the Master Congress Center in Novi Sad more than 1200 attendees - information technology experts and about 150 members of press. Around 90 experts from Microsoft and their partners firms, along with people from ICT bussines and other sucessful Serbian and foreign companyes held 105 presentations and lectures divided into 12 different thematic tracks.

Nikola Mirčić, executive manager og Sinergija 07 said that Microsoft was following the footsteps of the previous conferences and that many phases have changed, from learning about information technology to last year's look into the future. "Now is time to accelerate and keep up with the speed of modern economy, thus trying to become an information society", added Mirčić.

The motto of this year's Synergija is "Speed of change", and the focus were business technologies. Giving participants a new perspective on how to use them and improve their everyday work, making it more efficient, the IT professionals presented case-studies of successful application of Microsoft tools and examples of good practice. The conference was a good opportunity to meet Microsoft experts and partners who can help create, maintain and manage business solutions, using both current Microsoft products, as well as those that are still in the pipeline.

During last year's Sinergija, Microsoft announced its new operating system Windows Vista and 2007 Microsoft Office system. This year's conference was dedicated to the implementation and integration of these two products with existing and incoming solutions. Also, Sinergija introduced new Microsoft products and technologies such as Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008.

Even if it is held only once a year,Sinergija is trying to rise its influence on the local IT community by positioning itself as a symbol for innovation and education, keeping its content highly technical.
