Darkness of Football
In the last few weeks football is
in the focus of all media and publics around Europe and worldwide. Euro
2008 qualifications are finished but there are more bad news: one football
fan in Italy was shot by the policeman in the tragic accident, German
magazine Der Spiegel published an information about possible match fixing
and UEFA started investigation and just a week ago, football violence
continued in Belgrade, where Red Star fans attacked the policeman among
them, not in the uniform, because he was trying to make a record by
video camera. Is there a light in the tunnel?... >>

Politics
Belgium, a country in crisis
The Land of compromises
can no longer find a Consensus
The tenth of December will mark
the grim six-month anniversary of no government in Belgium. According
to some, the country is on the verge of separation. The Belgians meanwhile
stay relaxed, many urge the politicians to cut to the chase and bury
their egos. At least there is still chocolate and beer to forget all
their worries... >>
Parliamentary Elections in Russia
Russians
trust Putin
Some say, that these elections
are a farewell-elections - Putin is leaving president's chair and he
just needed a support to feel free to leave this position. "Unified
Russia" in its campaign always pointed out: "It's not election,
it's referendum if you trust Putin or not". The "referendum"
showed that people generally trust Putin and he can leave now... >>
Argentina after Elections
The
First Lady became President
Cristina Fernández has been often
compared with Eva Peron and Hillary Clinton. She does share some of
Eva Peron's tenacity and passion, but she more resembles more Hillary
Clinton. Both married their law-school boyfriends, helped them become
Governors and run for presidency, to finally become first ladies. Mrs.
Fernández certainly hopes Hillary Clinton will join the growing number
of women in top jobs in America, following not only her example but
also Michelle Bachelet's and several women in senior government posts
in Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador... >>

Personal View: Future of Mass Media
Press vs. Web
The future will not bring the end of the traditional mass media. But
what we are experiencing now is a total change in which the public gets

a major role as editors and news creators Journalists have to change
their role and nevertheless identify the core values for which they
have to fight... >>
Serbian Holidays
One Day in a Year
Slavas are celebrated only among Serbian people. It is believed that
ancestors remember the holly day as the day when they were baptized
and they gave it to their descendants as a heritage. On that day a group
of relatives and friends, who may not meet that often, is gathered in
one place. That is why "slava" nowadays is gaining in sociological
importance... >>
