"WAVE" No.15
January 2008
Editorial
Dear friends,
new year has just started and it usually brings to us new plans,
new ideas, new projects, new love... We are still in holiday's atmosphere
but this is a period when all the schedules for the forthcoming months
should be prepared, all the budgets (home and business one) should be
planned, and everything should go just perfect because we all believe
that the beginning will predict how the whole year will look like, right?
Every time you take a look at calendar, you realize there is no coming
back. Well, this time number 2008 is here and will stay for next twelve
months, so get used to that...
We told you last month about some changes and new section in our web
magazine and it seems you liked because number of visits on our page
is rapidly increasing since we launched last issue. Also we received
letters of support and advices to keep doing like this. Thank you all
for that and I can only announce we will work on ours and yours WAVE
every month to bring you something new and better. For those who like
to be precise: we are preparing new language editions and very soon
you will be able to read on some of your mother tongues, maybe...
Topic of the issue in January is European Union and everything that's
going on with it: Lisbon meeting in December brought us new reform treaty
instead of rejected Constitutional Law. Very important for young people
was also EU-Africa Youth Summit held on the same place and EU enlargement
is actual again. Misunderstandings between Moldova and Romania continue
and UN conference on climate changes was held on the island of Bali.
International human rights day was celebrated on December 10 and Serbian
Green Youth organization was very active, like always at the end of
year. If you prefer culture you can read a story about the capital of
Germany - Berlin, and if you are more in Science there is an article
on history of calendar. Of course, we are still in holidays everywhere,
so we bring you German story about habits and the way of Christmas celebration
there.
Enjoy your reading!
