Lisboa lead out the deadlock

The Lisboa Treaty officially signed on 13th December is intended to enter into force on 1st January 2009. It contains a EU Flagssimplified mechanism to adopt EU legislation and extend the Commission's competences to new areas such as judicial co-operation. But the lack of transparency can be the cost for the consensus and the text can be largely unreadable to the average citizen... full story
