"WAVE" No.17
March 2008

Editorial

Dear friends,

have you celebrated all these nice holidays just behind us? I could see that St.Valentine's or St.Triphon was a great dilemma for some of you. The best solution was drinking wine with your dearest person on February 14. But then you just couldn't forget about March 8 - Women Day. Yes, I know, girls usually say they do not celebrate this holiday, it's stupid, or - why only one day in a year is just their? - but I am sure you could see a pretty smile and a happy face if you bought a flower or some candies to your female friend, colleague, cousin... Sometimes it's hard to live with them, but we just couldn't do it without...

This time I won't tell you anything about further development of WAVE magazine, as I usually do in this part. Let it be a nice surprise for all of you, our dear readers...

Kosovo and everything that happened about proclaiming independence is the topic of our March issue. If that's not enough politics for your taste, we can offer you also analysis of presidential elections in Russia and story about Fidel Castro retirement after 49 years of being Cuban leader. Youth have protested in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one guy made a joke with our colleague journalist in Croatia. It wasn't very funny at the end. There are stories for all of you who like important dates - March 8 or February 14. If you are more in science, you will find an interesting story about Ig Nobel Prizes and if you are sports' type, read about expansion of women football.

Enjoy your reading!
