"WAVE" No.19
May 2008

Editorial

Dear friends,

public scene was very interesting recently and you could hear so many news from different parts of the world: Brazilian flying priest, protests in Tibet, Burma cyclone, U.S.A. tornadoes, Austrian case... There are many bad news among these topics and it seems like Earth is becoming dark place to live. We strongly recommend to you to be realistic but feel opthimistic and work to make the world better place because nobody will do that instead of you. Globalization is offering so many challenges and opportunities at the same time and we have to work together and make our dreams come true.

Your favourite magazine is growing up with new colleagues, new friends and new readers, so we are improving our website to make it better and easier for users. That's why we kindly ask you not to be angry with WAVE magazine if sometimes, in the forthcoming period, you can't access our page immediately - the reason will probably be reorganizing files and structure of the whole website. But don't worry, the result will be obvious.

This time we decided to tell you more about Brazil, the biggest country in South America - its economics, some funny stories, sports... After Italian elections read about Berlusconi's comeback and before U.S. voting you will see what Americans think about abortion. Problems with hunters and birds protection are actual in Malta and students from Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in Fourth oncology congress in Pamplona, Spain. We bring you one more story from South America - Chile - about children's literature and cooperation among Chile and Scandinavia. As you already know, European football championship is knocking on our door, so take a look on teams and predictions for this big event. Also check out what happened on Euroleague basketball Final Four tournament held in Madrid.

Enjoy your reading!
