we found out the data about historical wealth of Steier's region capital: Turks
have attacked us in mid-sixteenth century, in Maribor happened the first "process
against witches" in Slovenia, and protestantism is here the first time banned.

2008 - Belgrade International Theater Festival Goebbels
on the Throne Grand
Prix "Mira Trailoviĉ" was assigned to performance "Stifter's things",
directed by Heiner Goebbels and played by Theatre Vidi from Lausanne, Switzerland.
This play is based on texts of A. Stifter, romantic author from the beginning
of the 19th century, and was inspired by his kind of writing, but the protagonists
are those who are "non-protagonists" - lighting, images, murmur, sounds,
voices, wind and mist, water and ice. Special award is allocated, by majority
of votes, to the dance performance of Meg Stuart and Philip Gemaher "Maybe

year's selection of BITEF has been focused on the manipulation of the term of
tragic phenomenon in the modern world. After numerous performances seen, our festival
was imposed conclusion that gradually turned to this year's slogan - that, in
short, states that tragic of today's world in theatrical process almost always
becomes a tragicomedy. In this year's selection are found some of the most notable
and recognized theater names of international theater scene that, each in their
own way, were dealing with contemporary phenomena, balancing on narrow road between
the tragic and tragicomic perception of the world in which they live"...
