"WAVE" No.25

Editorial

Dear friends,

students are on the road again! Protests in Italy, Serbia, Spain... with mostly similar ideas and proposals for better studying, better standard, more opportunities for young people. It reminds of events in 1968 but we will see if the result is the same. Especially this is happening in the time of global world financial crisis, and it's all connected... Anyway, we are youth and international magazine, and this topic is breaking news. If you know something else happening in your university, your city or your country, let us know to present to readers world-wide.

As the world is in global economic and financial crisis, we couldn't avoid to be hit by that, but in our case it's more like creative crisis. This month will probably bring you less then you expected, if we are talking about our authors, but hope you will understand our writers are mostly students and the new school year has just began. And one more important thing, we are WAVE and so far we were doing better, but the sea is going up and down, and we assure you this is just a short period of bad luck.

We bring you articles on students protests in Italy and Serbia, very actual last weeks but also remind you of happenings in 1968 - it's four decades passed since then! We continue with exchanging articles with our German friends from e-politik.de, and this time they wrote about contemporary maritime piracy and Somalia and wider. It looks like in movies but not so funny in real life! Also we couldn't avoid the most important event recently, U.S. elections. Culture is the best section this month and there we present you Festival of International Student Theatre in Belgrade, an interview with world-wide drummer Dragoljub Djuricic, and one more story about comics, keep the track from the last issue. Tennis season is over and you can read about WTA Tour and girls this time. Next issue will bring you ATP and men, they are still playing. For the end, you can choose a coffee, it's a good friend while you are writing new WAVE magazine!

Enjoy your reading!
