"WAVE" No.26
December 2008

Editorial

Dear friends,

it's holidays time again. Some people claim that world financial crisis will make Christmas and New Year celebrations different than it was before but you will agree that the most important is how do you feel and who are you with, and not how many lights and fireworks are on the street, or how expensive is your dress. Many of you will have days off your jobs, but this is usually very busy period for students, preparing for their January exams. Message for them is - 'break a leg'. And message to all of our readers - find some time for WAVE magazine during holidays and always look on the bright side of life!

Starting with first issue in 2009, January, we will give our best to make one step further with more professional articles and more interesting and interactive pages. We will offer you more information on our editorial staff and more possibilities to communicate with writers. Also preparations for establishing Serbian Youth Press are coming to finish, so we will have another organization of young journalists willing to make international cooperation.

This time we bring you some articles on forthcoming holidays - Christmas and New Year, but not in a classic way. German colleagues from e-politik.de sent us an article on European project and conference held in Berlin about future of united Europe. Very interesting story comes from the top of the world, an interview with mountain climber Nina Adjanin who just came back from Manaslu (more than 8,000 metres high). Another story about smoking ban (after Germany few months ago) comes from Netherlands. Third Belgrade PR Week was held with the title "Leadership in recession". Interviews with actor and musician are in Culture section, as well as Bulgarian festival of Student Amateur Artists. We intended to start with blog but someone says it's the end of blogosphere in our Science section. Also you can read an article on mystery of our body, proteins. As we announced, we bring you the summary of men's tennis season, and another famous goal-scorer Paolo Rossi. For the end, have some fun with Smurfs, who celebrate their 50th "Smurfsday" this year.

Enjoy your reading!
