Based on the results of the Dewey Color System test, we can conclude that persons who represents "yellow-green" type are caring and good listeners. "Blue-orange" persons are builders and at the same time unstable-mooded: at the moment they are innovative and in the other, they are traditional criticists. "Red" and "pink" persons are the best in making priorities. There are also theories about links between certain colors and specific geometry shapes

Designers of packaging and web sites today there are on tenter hook. The choice of colors may have great impact on success or failure of a product. The companies are building their corporative identities on colors. On the other hand, there are different scientific opinions about links between favorite colors and people's characthers.

One survey has explained that completion of tasks depends upon color of the room where those assignments are being done. Results have showed that employees who worked in blue-colored room were in a better mood in comparison to those in red room. It has been proved that people in red room have lower concentration and they are reading slowly. The differences between colors most commonly choosen by men and women have also been researched. That is how Seefeldt (1979) has founded out that women like yellow color more than men do. Scientists explain that the color we prefer shows our mood which reflects to our attitude and relations with surrounding. Our favourite color also tells about our hopes and aspirations.

In 2000 the Dewey Color System was developed, and it is available for commercial purposes since 2004. This test is based on presenting certain colors and the person solving tasks should mark colors in exact order that he/she likes. By doing this test we get representation of our traits, our way of solving problems, making a friendships, behaviour towards partners and family members. This test also offers the answer to the question "What is the right job for me?" and " In which direction our career should be developed?". There are also theories about links between certain colors and specific geometry shapes. A painter, with Russian origins who had been worked as a professor in Germany, Vassily Kandinsky, has claimed that quadrate is geometry shape that can be expressed only with red color, triangle with yellow and circle with blue. All the other forms ensue from these three. Kandinsky believed they are similar chromatic values and the natural forms which result from basic geometry pictures and shapes: leaf is green because it represents the middle between triangle and circle, which means between blue and yellow color. Opinions are different regarding color's impact on people. But there is one thing that noone can deny, weather young or old, man or woman, extrovert or introvert - without colors, our lives would be boring. How could we follow the fashion trends? It would be much harder to make a differnce between national flags as well as sportsmen of different clubs. And for sure we wouldn't choose green instead of black laptop.

The meaning of colors


Blue - tranquility, stability, harmony, trust, safety, order, technology but depression as well. Blue color decreases number of heart bits, body temperature and apetite. It is considered as business color since it reflects confidence. In China blue color is related with immortality, Jews beleive it is holy color, at Middle East blue regards on protection and in Iran it is symbol of immoral.

Green - nature, health, happiness, regeneration, generousity, productiveness, but inexperience and envy on the other hand. In China and France this color is not recommended for packaging. In India green represents Islam. In some tropical countries this color is related with danger.

Pink - represents ceremony, mystery, transformation, wisdom, but cruelty and arrogance at the same time. It is considered as exotical and trendy color which suits creative people.

White is color of simplicity, purity, punctuality, virginity, goodness and marriage. In Japan white color represents death and in eastern cultures it symbolises coldness and sterility.

Red is color which represents manhood in China, while it is the oposite in Japan. In Europe red color represents danger and warning, but bravery and excitement as well.
