A
new proposal from the Danish government sent shock-waves through the Danish universities.
The proposal suggested cutting down the economic support for students - a support
that is unique for the Danish system. It resulted in the biggest demonstrations
since the 1970's. Students stood together - and in the end, they won... 
Until
some time before, education system in Brazil was like a funnel: only the richest
and whitest students managed to get higher education levels. Students coming from
other social groups would have fewer chances to get to the next education level.
But that scenario started to change when universities and government decided to
intervene on it
Most
often, students work during those months that immediately follow examination periods.
And while some, either due to the nature of the job or some personal organization,
work a few days each week; there are also others who work every, or almost every
day during their free months, but the time before the exams they spend exclusively
studying for them
