Serbian girls the most beautiful, Italian guys the most attractive

Guys from Italy were the most handsome at the Universiade village, by the opinion of the majority female Universiade participants. On the other hand, it is difficult for the male participants to choose between so many beautiful female athletes. They finally voted for Serbians and other girls with exotic looks

When asked which country had the most attractive athletes at the 25th Universiade, many girls quickly answered - Italy.

- Without any thought, to me and to the other girls, the most handsome were definitely water polo players and swimmers from Italy. Although, the Australian gymnasts weren't bad either - says Hungarian water polo player Orshia Kisteleki. The same opinion, when it comes to Italian athletes also share the girls from Brasil, Greece and Russia.

- For us, the best looking athletes were surely from Italy, and as I've heard, all the girls are thrilled with them. They are nicely built and have a specific charm. Unfortunatelly, we don't know their names, we just see them passing by the village, but we recognize them by their jerseys and national colours - explained the Russian girls Victoria Kovaleva and Dina Galiagbarova, who competed in fencing. Besides the Italians, amongst most desirable male athletes were the water polo players from Switzerland, Turkey and Germany. Some of these guys were appealing to , for example, female tenis players from Serbia and volleyball players from Sweden.

Maybe because of the modesty or something else, the swimmers from Italy claim that they didn't know they were girls' favourites.

-They have really said that? You are flattering us... We haven't noticed that the girls were gazing at us, nor that they liked us. As a matter of fact, I would like you to introduce me to one of them - says modestly Italian swimmer Andrea Rolo.

His team mate Giorgio Mateo adds that "they sure did notice all the girls and that they found Serbian volleyball players most appealing".

Girls from Serbia also 'drew crazy' Brasilian athletes, and athletes from Australia. Turkish volleyball player Vefa Jilmaz was also one of those who couldn't resist them.

- Girls from Serbia are the most attractive and also girls from Canada and Italy are good looking. But, the most beautiful are the ones I see on the streets - says the gymnast from the 'kangoroo land' Sean Wrough, who asked our reporter for a piece advice how to conquer some Serbian girls.

At the unofficial pagent, the girls from Sweden and Spain were ranked very well. Russian fencing contestant Dmitri and Croatian water polo players Cule Domagoj and Ivan Kapric, found Brasilian and Cuban girls most appealing.

- I prefer the exotic beauty, so I liked volleybal and football female players from Brasil and Spain the most. On the other hand, the most attractive were volleyball players from Serbia. I also noticed a few incredibely handsome and beautiful female athletes from Australia - said Slawomir Kuczko and Tomasz Rurziczky, a swimmer and a water polo player from Poland.
