Ninth in a row Microsoft Sinergija '09, the biggest IT conference in the region, will be held in Belgrade's Center Sava from 17th to 19th November. Representatives of Microsoft, as the main organizers of this event, announced a lot of fresh IT topics - ideas, solutions and products will be presented in more than 100 lectures, studies and demonstrations. Advantages of Windows 7 operating system, new edition of Windows Server 2008 R2, new tools of Microsoft Office, are just some of the topics eminent IT experts will discus. This year, the organizers also took care of arranging lectures for people with job title executive.

Borko Kovačević, the manager of Microsoft Sinergija, in the interview for WAVE magazine reveals how will this year's event be organized, which topics will be most frequent, but also how is the world economic crisis affecting Microsoft and IT industry in general.

- What can visitors of Sinergija 09 expect? How will this year's conference be organized?

- This year, more then ever, visitors will have the oportunity to get to know modern solutions from information technology and technical characteristics perspective, as well as theirs business benefits. We reckon Sinergija has reached the level at which we are able to answer the questions concerning business our clients and partners put in front of us.

- Which will be the main topics at Sinergija 09?

- As an inspiration for this year's Sinergija 09, we used one of the globaly significant topics - attitude towards nature, and mostly relation between IT world and real world around us. Sinergija is the right place where IT professionals, as well as modern business experts, have the posibility of exchanging their experiences and getting to know about all Microsoft novelties and technologies from world wide known lecturers first hand! Main goal of this Conference is pointing out the importance of IT technology in the world of business and making it more aproachable for every company in the region.

- Who will be the most renowned lecturers and guests of the Conference?

- Besides many eminent lecturers, Rafal Lukawiecki, one of the favourite and well respected presenters, strategic consultant in Project Botticelli Ltd, will also take place at Sinergija 09. We will have surprise guests from world of technology and business which will also give lectures. For the opening ceremony of this prestiguous regional IT conference, we are preparing a real spectacle which will draw the attention of many visitors from our country and region as well.

- Will there be any presentation of new products (Microsoft's and partners') and which ones?

- With a series of lectures, demoes and case studies, practical value of new technologies will be presented. Visitors will have an opportunity to hear a lecture on new operating system Windows 7, see the revolutionary changes that wave of new Office 14 products will bring, as well as advantages of using virtual infrastructure based on Microsoft Hyper V technology. All together it makes a revolution in a way we accept information technology, and Microsoft as a leader of world's software market has a goal to make those technologies more approachable and to make its usage a way of living.

- How does the world economic crisis affect Microsoft and where does the IT industry stand from that point?

- We consider that at this moment, when we are faced with every day economic challenges, it is from vital importance that you have a clear path and know how to strategically position your business. Microsoft has, and will continue to invest in developing its products by respecting the principals on witch the company stands, and advices its users and partners to do the same, act strategically when it comes to functions that open new potentials, and all that in order to secure a constant growth and prosperity. IT is definitely one of those functions, which is at the same time one of the main messages of this year's Sinergija.
